We’ll also host a Come & Try Clinic on Saturday,
17 January for Squirts to Under 12s, but don’t wait for these sessions to
register.
How does the
registration process work?
Registration is a 3-step process, with fees linked to
each step that total the advertised registration amount:
Step 1 –
Complete your registration through the Ormeau FC website.
Step 2 –
Register on Squadi (Football Queensland)
Step 3 – Register on Playfootball (Football Australia).
We also accept:
• Automated payment plans
• Fair Play vouchers
I’ve registered – what happens next?
Once registered, you don’t need to wait for an email
confirmation.
Here’s what to do next -
Team allocations for Junior League teams will be emailed in November, with Divisional team allocations sent in mid-January. Once allocations are confirmed, coaches or coaching coordinators will be in contact with training commencement dates and muster days.
The earlier you register, the sooner we can finalise your
team placement and schedule.
When does training & Games start?
Training start times vary by age group:
• U6–U8 → Early February
• U9–U12 → Late January / Early February
• U13–U18 (Divisional) → End of January
• Junior League (JL) / Kangaroos → At coach’s discretion
A draft timetable will be posted in December and
updated weekly until all teams and coaches are confirmed.

Player safety and field protection are our top priorities. Ormeau FC closely monitors weather conditions and ground suitability before making any decisions.
Monday to Friday: Field closure updates will be posted by 2:30pm on the Ormeau FC Facebook page.
Saturday: Field status updates will be posted by 7:00am.
Please note: Due to unpredictable storm activity, fields may be closed at short notice if conditions deteriorate.
All wet weather updates and field closures will be communicated via the Ormeau FC Facebook page. This is our primary and most up-to-date communication channel.
Training sessions and games will proceed as scheduled.
All training sessions are cancelled for the day.
Matches are postponed.
Please do not attend the grounds if fields are closed.
We always aim to provide updates as early as possible; however, last-minute changes may occur if weather conditions change rapidly.

My child has been
selected in Junior League (JL) – what does that mean?
Congratulations! Selection into Junior League means your
child will compete in one of the highest community levels on the Gold
Coast.
Additional JL Fees cover:
• Professional development and game analysis through Xcel (mandatory
for all JL players)
• Qualified and accredited coaching staff
• Player apparel and upgraded equipment
• Club administration and Football Queensland registration
🔹 Note: Participation
in the Xcel program is mandatory for all JL players to ensure
consistent technical development aligned with FQ pathways.

Ormeau FC play in?
Ormeau FC is affiliated with Football Queensland South
Coast (FQSC).
In 2026, we’ll have teams competing across:

Ormeau FC is a community-run, not-for-profit club
that relies on volunteers, canteen revenue, and sponsorships to keep football
affordable.

What’s included in my
uniform?
• Jerseys, Training Shirt, shorts, and socks are included in your
registration fees.
• Jerseys will be distributed to Team Managers in late February, extra apparel can be purchased here -

available for younger players?
Squirts (Ages 3–5)
Our popular Squirts Program returns Saturday mornings from late February .

What about girls’
football at Ormeau FC?
We’re proud to continue expanding our Girls Pathway in
2026, with the following planned teams:
• U8/9 (2 teams)
• U10/11 (3–4 teams)
• U12/13 (3 teams)
• U14/15 (2–3 teams)
Girls are welcome to play in girls-only or mixed
teams.
What about boys’ and
mixed teams?
U6–U8:
Teams are formed via the club website and introduced at a Muster in
February.
U9–U12:
Teams are graded into three levels — Kangaroos, Wallabies, and Quokkas.
Team allocations are emailed following January trials.
U13–U18:
Teams are graded across Junior League and Divisions 1 & 2.
Final team communications will be sent by end of January.
