Ormeau Football Club was founded in 2013 by a passionate group of local parents who recognised the need for a football club within the growing Ormeau community. With the support of the local council, the club took over an abandoned baseball field at Norfolk Park and began the journey of creating what is now Ormeau Football Club.

Starting with just 150 players across teams from Under 6 to Under 12, the club has experienced remarkable growth and now proudly supports more than 1,300 players across 80+ teams, ranging from MiniRoos and junior football to senior competitions.

This growth is driven by the dedication of our committee members, coaches, volunteers, players and families, all of whom have contributed to building a welcoming, family-friendly and community-focused football club.

Since its humble beginnings, Ormeau FC has continually invested in developing and improving its facilities and infrastructure. Norfolk Park has undergone significant upgrades, including a brand new clubhouse, opened in 2025.
